Can love happen between a 25 year old young man and a 45 year old women?Well, that's a movie review I did for Stomp (Straits Times Online Mobile Print) so
hold on to your horses everyone! This is not some juicy gossip I'm gona share! Hahaha...

So anyway, just in case anyone is wondering what's the movie was about, the title of the movie is "Personal Effects". Starring Ashton Kutcher
(swoons) and Michelle Pfeiffer
(lucky lady!), this movie is due to screen on the 30th July at SHAW. This story is about how a brutal death of a family member can affect those who were left behind. During the period of mourning and attending trials to convict the respective murderers, Ashton Kutcher met Michelle Pfeiffer and falls in love, healing the wounds of lost, pain and loneliness. This story shows how lives can be so intricately intertwined through the use of similar lost despite being two complete strangers. A good story to watch if you are an art enthusiast who is extremely fascinated by slow arty movies but if you are looking for real time entertainment, you better drop this film like a hot cake.

Next up...Have anyone been to ION Orchard yet? Well, I've been to it 3 times this week
(no, I don't have a screw loose in my head). First was because I had to pass by it on my way to SHAW for my movie premier, second was because I worked late on one of the days hence SK and me decided to pop by ION Orchard for a change of dinner menu since its only a stone throw away from our workplace and lastly was because I went shopping on saturday with a few friends. It was a perfect place to shop initially, then again like all things shiny and new, it became boring after my third visit.

But...THEY HAD RUBI SHOES!!! That's FANTASTIC! Just in case you don't already know what IS Rubi Shoes, they are actually a cotton on spin off for shoes. Dirt cheap shoes, lousy quality but really nice colours! So I ended up getting a shiny magenta and a red suede pair. Love it!
(Thank you mummy dearest for the sponsorship!). Topshop there was great too as it's like the old Wisma branch, whereby they have the double storey topshop/topman with their own style advisor. As I had to spend my 2 Topshop vouchers, so I ended up doing a quick spree before my movie premier. That was the HAPPIEST day ever! Muahaha...The love for pretty stuff never fails to fascinate me!
Hmm..since we are on the topic of new malls in Orchard, has anyone been to Orchard Central yet? It opened much earlier than ION Orchard but has a lot less publicity. I think that is probably due to the fact that they have lesser up market labels hence the lack of advertising. I guess the only way a mall can really be famous and survive long would be to instill some super up market brands in the shop space, if not they might just fade away like another mid-range mall. Its kind of like how Takashimaya stay alive and kicking in Singapore for so long but not so much for John Little although both are within the illustrious Orchard Road stretch?

Well, to me, Orchar Central gives me the impression of a hotel than a mall! Why so, it's because they have SO many sofas
(yes, I mean SOFAS. The large kind where people place them in their living rooms?) that it seemed more like a hotel lobby than a shopping mall! The plus point to that would be that at least tired shoppers get to rest their feet after shopping. That's the main difference between the other malls. Shop wise, nothing fantastic but they do have restaurants that have fantastic views. Fantastic I would say is because the restaurants are all either at level 6 or level 8. That's pretty high up within the Orchard Road stretch of malls. This mall has even a roof garden at level 11 and 12 which is slated to open at the end of the year. That's the real deal I am waiting for as it would really be like The Peak in Hong Kong
(not including the fact that is has so many escalators, it should be awarded the award of being the mall that has the most escalators in the world!). Perfect view from the heart of Singapore!
To start with one of the views in the restaurants, below are the pictures of the restaurant with the best view in the mall and of course the meal and view that came along with a matching price tag too!

Food isn't fantastic but....BEN AND JERRY IS!

Here's some random spamming of Instax before JJ went to camp....

I think that's all for now. Gona sleep. This week would be a BUSY week! Gona work during the weekends too! Wanna see me then go to TTSH for the public hand conference this saturday! HAHAHAHAH....TA!
