Uniqlo @ Tampines T1 - exactly 1 week laterWent to Tampines with Guojie yesterday for me to check out what Tampines Malls got to offer and for Guojie to check out Uniqlo again
(that guy just couldn't get enough of their basics! Lolx).
After having shopped Tampines properly this time, I realised that the malls at Tampines isn't all that crowded and big. It's only the new mall that is crowded that's all. Well, I guess it can't be helped cus its so sparkly and nice
(like all new things) and that they have Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Diva and such. Kind of self-sufficient? They have this very interesting shop called Urban Write located at the basement of T1. It's a mixed between Art Friend, Made With Love and AnBC, selling really smashing and attractive stationery. It's quite an interesting place to check out. Definitely one of the better stores at Tampines T1 mall!

The next great store to check out would be Manpuku, a Japanese restaurant by Ajisen Holdings. Their concept is very much like Marche, use of the card system instead of real cash
(that's so much more hygienic and of cus more cash ripping for you'll just swipe, swipe, swipe till you realised "Oh! I've spent a $100 bucks here!" then it would be far too late..hahaha).
The food there isn't fantastic but they have very good and unique food concept that can only be found at Manpuku. One of them is the Unagi wrapped sushi. Very special! They come in Tempura prawns too. Taste seriously good! The next would be their cakes...oh myy! Their tart-like cakes are
ABSOLUTELY mouth watering. Just by looking at it will make your mouth water. Take a look at the picture below if you don't believe me!

Just simply mouth watering right? It taste seriously good and it runs out very fast too. By the time I went there, there was hardly any tarts left. It's a super good place for a sinful time. Great place to stuff yourself silly with quirky Japanese food!
Just in case for those that are wondering about Uniqlo's queue...

Yep! It's still as long as ever! Some says it's more like a publicity gimmick than real support for the store. It's like "Wow! look at the queue! Let's go check it out too!" kind of pull that makes people want to check the store out. There is obviously a lot of space for many more to enter but the sales personnel at the door just refuse to allow the stated amount to enter. So I really felt its kind of a gimmick than the real deal cus there are a lot more people walking out of the store empty handed than the ones that are spotted carrying the carrier bags. Just to update, Uniqlo just restock their stocks. For those that want some items that do not have their size, do check out around this time before it runs out again. =)
Gota go! Cya!
